66 Rear leaf springs

Need to get some new rear leaf springs for my 1966 Ford F100 4x4 Long Bed. Been waiting on general spring to get them back in stock but its been 4+ months and no go. Besides Eaton springs(seem well made just 3x as much) anyone have any personal experience with another leaf spring company? Bonus points if they also carry the front coils. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Got mine from Eaton just a few weeks ago. Ordered them on a Wednesday received them On Saturday the following week. General only listed a 4/3 or a 6 leaf pack for my 64. Mine came with a 5/3 1250 lb pack. The 5/3 from Eaton was twice as much as the 4/3 from General but I wanted the correct spring so after watching video's and reading tons of reviews I went with Eaton. The customer service is unbelievable. You get an email everyday telling you the progress on your springs and one the day they ship with the tracking number.

Eaton is the smart choice for new. But have you also considered having yours re-arched/rebuilt? Though spring shops are going the way of radiator repair shops, there are still some in your state. But you generally have to remove them yourself and take them in, retrieve them later.

I bought front leafs for my 63 a few years back. The old packs were so ate up in between that re-arching wasn’t an option. I’m in Southern California so I can imagine east coast leaf packs are in much worse shape.

Happen to have a link or phone number where you ordered from?

Ok well since everyone seems to only have experience with eaton. Any suggestions on which ones to get? For the coil springs the Heavy duty ones are cheaper for some reason? and I dont believe I need the 9 leaf spring pack. Thoughts? Suggestions?

1966 F100 4x4 front springs
240/300 - 1125 lb. springs
352 - 1250 lb. springs

On their website if you change the engine to either 240 or 300, they only suggest the Standard. If 352 is chosen, then they seem to offer the Standard (same as 240/300 spring) or the Heavy Duty. Since the 352 didn't come with the same spring as the 240/300 I think I'd sway toward the Heavy Duty for the front coils.

The rears aren't dependent on the engine.
Standard rear spring - 1250 lb. Progressive. 6 leaves total.
Optional rear spring - 1650 lb. Single-stage. 9 leaves total.

If you carry varying loads in your truck or you want better performance when heavily loaded, progressive-rate leaf springs may be the better choice. On the other hand, if the vehicle’s load does not change significantly and consistent ride quality is a priority, single-stage leaf springs could be preferred.

My 65 F100, 2wd, came with the nine leaf pac.
I use my truck as a truck and have been glad I had the heavy springs more than once.
The front coils I got Moog heavy duty off Amazon for around $100. This was 4-5 years ago ao the price, like everything else, has gone up. But no proble.s with the product.

Thanks for all the input everyone and thanks TA455HO for the clarification between the leaf springs. Appreciate you explaining the different benefits so clearly.

Eaton offers the ability to raise the ride height on the coil springs and leaf springs. Should I be using this opportunity to raise it up an inch or more?

So i tried to reach out to Easton and havent heard back yet. But other than the general cables and angles, anything else i should be worried about if i decided to lift it by choosing to get a 1-3 inch lift? Im doing a frame off resto of my 66 f100 4x4 so all the wiring, brake lines, etc are being replaced. Really looking to just get some more clearance for farm/yard work.
