fuel line fitting question

It's possibly the pressure gauge because as I was having regulator issues, I noticed that the gauge wasn't working. I assumed it was because of the regulator. But when I tapped the regulator and it started working, the gauge wasn't showing a reading.
They're both Chinese cheapies. Why do I buy that stuff?
Anyway, I could not get the carb to NOT flood when the gauge reading was close to 4 psi. Major flood.
so, the holley regulator I bought is set at 2.9 psi from the factory. Well, see if the gauge shows a reading when I get it all together.
