disc brake conversion

I have a 67 F250 camper special w/ manual brakes. I have a friend w/ 72 F250 camper special w/ 2 piston calipers, he's switching to a lift kit, and I can get his I-beams with spindels and calipers. Anyone out there done a conversion with I-beam and all? Will tie rods fit, what about brake hoses? I will be useing 67 power booster and master cylinder any problems there and what about proportioning valve?

I did the search before posting the new thread, looks like most were 73 and up. The parts books I have go to 72, and it looks like sometime in 71 they changed steering contols, are they the same as 73-79 and will the center link fit my pitman arm w/o mods or will my controls work? Anyone done this particular mod from 67 to a 72?

I am pretty certain you can do the same, as long as both vehicles have the same steering (ie maunal or power). Even then, I think the radius and location of the pitman arm is the same from 1965 to about 1978.

Generally, a lot of people like to do the whole swap, Ibeams, radius arms -- the works. Read the article in the tech section -- not specific to 250 camper specials, but useful, regardless.
