new carb needed?
I opened up my Holley 1040 and it has what appears to be a pin hole in the primary. Been having issues that I couldn't diagnose This may be it. Am I in for a new carb if so recommendations for a mild build 390?

When I "rebuilt" my 77 351Measly, I went with the Summit 500cfm carb, been super happy with it, although I did have to jet it down a bit from 62 or 64 down to 56 IIRC, going on 3+ years and supper happy with it.

Gremlins _ _ _ If you think you have a pin hole, seal it with gasket maker, and see what happens.
I've never heard of a pin hole in a holley. There is a first time for everything tho. LoL
Does the pin hole lead to outside air ?
Above or below the throttle plates ?
When you say primary, is this a 4-bbl carb ?
