testing fuel injectors

So, I picked up a Fuel rail and 8 injectors from a salvage yard. I want to test the injectors as I also will refresh them with new O-rings and caps (hats) for the spray base. I have seen videos where they will use a 9 volt battery or car battery to get power to the injector plugs. Can I assume that a 6V lantern battery will also do the job to provide test power. It enables the injector to fire so that you can see the spray pattern. Thoughts?

Its a valve, all you can do is try it and if no spray goes thru them then try a higher voltage battery. Most use a 9V to do this and an aerosol injector cleaner spraying into the inlet.

I used 12v power source and carb cleaner with a make shift adapter to clean my Polaris injectors. I assume that would work on most anything accept the HEUI injectors.
