Hi I have a 2000 Excursion 4X4. I pulls hard left when breaking at highway speeds. I took it to the dealer told them about the problem, and I could not believe what I was told. Um Maam we have a been told that MANY of the Excurions do this it is just in the design. Does anybody out there have this same problem and if so what has Ford done for you?
I have heard this problem many times before and actually have talked to one owner whom had to slam on the brakes and actually did a 360 on the highway. Last time I talked with him ford had replaced his excursion with a new one. I have also had numerous problem with my brakes which have been replaced three times, but mainly due to squealing.

The dealer should be able to resolve both of these issues by replacing the ball joints and realigning the front end.
I just went through all of the above on my 2000 XLT 4x4 Excursion, and was covered by warranty.
It finally drives like it should.
I would suggest a 2nd opinion, from a dealer that know what is going on.
