muffler

05 f150 - is stainless worth it for a muffler, or just go with the aluminized steel? Do I need the tailpipe too, or can I reuse?

If you are in snow country where salt is used on the road....go stainless..... if not, aluminized steel will be all you need

Why are you replacing the muffler? Is it rusted out? Is the tailpipe rusted out? If rust is the culprit, then consider replacing the pipes while you're replacing the muffler. If it's not rusted out, then you can continue to use it. If rust is the culprit, consider stainless.

Your truck is an 05. It's now 2024. We're talking about a 20 year old truck. How much longer do you plan on keeping this truck? Another 20 years? Or are you planning on a new truck in the next few years?
