Previous owner used this 01 7.3 as a plow truck. Started leaking slowly. But in New England it's $4.25-4.50 a gallon so I had to get after it. It is pretty rusty in spots and looks like it might have had a thick coat of something put on some of the holes before.
Anyone know of a place to get tanks for less than a lot? Or something that might last me 5-10 years at low annual milage and no plowing?
Any help would be great
Thanks

Reason: Attention
I'm supposed to get it Monday. I bet it is raw steel and needs paint. I have some black farm equipment Rustolium I'll put on it and let you know.
It should be galvanized or coated, so you shouldn't have to mess with any coatings. A good extra coat of something may help in longevity, or, may make it look good for a year or 2 and then accelerate rot.
I've never seen an automotive tank sold bare metal........maybe I'm late to the party, and that's always been a thing, but "natural" probably means that it's "metal colored" coating. Interested to see what ya end up with.
