Adding Fog lights to XL

Hello everyone,

I’m looking for help finding the correct wiring harness from the 16 pin connector to the fog lights.

short story. I found a OEM bumper with halogen fog lights I’m installing on my special order XL. I Have located the 16 pin connector behind the bumper. I need the part number for the harness that runs from the 16 pin to the fog light sockets.

I’m done dealing with these idiots at the dealer that don’t know or don’t care. Sometimes I think they purposely discourage folks from doing their own work.

I know there may be a switch I need to buy and a forscan modification I need to make but this would help me out tremendously.

2021 Ford F250 XL with power equipment package.

thank you!!

I've thought the same and don't blame you in the slightest.

i can take a peak at my 2017 xlt harness, could be a place to start. a good parts guy could get you the stuff no problem, the trick is finding a good parts guy at a dealer.

found this one on EBAY 2015-2020 Ford F150 & 2017- 2022 Ford F250 F350 F450+ Foglight Harness | eBay

Hello,
I am following this thread as I want to upgrade my 2022 F250 XLT - no OEM Fog Lights to a bumper with Fog lights. I have halogen headlights...I see two types of fog lights, the halogen (Square) lights in bumper or the LED more rectangle in the bumper. I have been advised to find a 2020-2022 bumper to fit my truck, but both options for bumpers can be found. Any opinion on mixing, I know I can add LED headlight bulbs to match the color of the LED fogs if I want a consistent look up front.

For those that may know, the harness is different for LED and Halogen, I believe, any idea what part number I would chase? I know that @Lariatdriver posted a great article on how to upgrade to ACC and he posted a harness for ACC + Fog lights (LC3Z-15K867-A), but I don't have the 8" productivity screen, so that upgrade is a bit far out for me. How about the dash switch? I think the forscan codes were documented in this thread above.

Thank you !

you have the correct harness that plugs into the connector behind the bumper on the frame rail.

you need the switch with the fog light button on it. Changing this out is simple.

i went with the halogen fog light bumper to match my headlights at this time. If I upgrade to LED headlights I will upgrade to an aftermatket LED pod style light that will fit in the space on the bumper.

if you have any questions let me know.

Thank you, yes, I do have the large 11pin (or near) connector behind the bumper nearer the driver's side frame rail. Nothing is connected to it because I don't have fogs or ACC.

I did this on my 2008 F250, but the harness was there already, just changed the dash switch, install lights and it was good to go, this one is a bit more invasive since I have to change the bumper.

I will see which bumper comes up available close to me and then choose as long as I can get the same LED color for both the fogs and the headlight bulbs.

Thank you again!

I was going to do the same on my '19 STX, bought the parts, but I ended up buying an aftermarket bumper instead. (about 5 years ago now)
Please verify the part numbers, but this is what I bought. My interior color is gray

The switch in the link has an extra button on the left upper corner. My STX only has one button on the left.
Switch: FL3Z-11654-BA - https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts...ch-fl3z11654ba

Harness: HC3Z-15K867-B - https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts...ss-hc3z15k867b

Hope this helps or gets ya in the right direction.

Fog Light Wiring Harness for 2022 F250 XLT

Looking for help to identify the correct wiring harness.

I now have a bumper that has the halogen fog lights and I have identified the correct dashboard switch (FL3Z-11654-BA - according to tasca parts if fits my truck and provided above by @MPSoC ). Now I am trying to identify the correct wiring harness. Any ideas on how to find it? The harness listed above appears not to fit my truck year.

I am sure there will be forscan programming as well. I will check the forscan spreadsheet forum.

Thank you!

Did you ever figure this out? What headlamp switch part number and harness did you end up using?

I'm planning to add fog and auxiliary lights to my XL in the future, but will do a bumper replacement first, likely a winch ready one from Steelcraft or Ranch Hand.

Great info in this conversation! Thanks for posting!

@exbxtoy, I did figure this out. For my 2022 F250 XLT CC 7.3Gas I purchased the bumper with the fogs and these parts. My truck has halogen lights and the fogs are halogen as well.

LC3Z-15K867-A Wire Harness
FL3Z-11654-BA Headlamp Switch

I am not near my forescan change log, but those changes are documented in the forescan sheet and in several posts.
