Cool Ride

Not sure of the year, but I think I got the right one forum.
At a local car show yesterday. Outside cool rat rod, under the hood was super clean, high tech, even if a Cummings. This looked like it belonged there. No hack job.
It sounded super sweet, like she wanted to run!

To each his own. Sitting on the ground I agree, rolling thru the car show it looked and sounded pretty cool.
It wasn't so much the truck I was impressed with, it was the super quality workmanship of the Cummings install. Very clean, not hacked up.

Fair point, that swap does look wicked clean.

Let's see, 6-cylinder diesels sound awful, and it's not going to be as fast as a good V8, so maybe you could hook up to a gooseneck and get some heavy loads hauled since that's what a diesel is for? yeah, I don't think so.

I bought my first dodge with a Cummins in it in 1989, still have a half dozen 12 and 24 valves working in the operation. the 8.3 version used in equipment is a great engine as well. but other than longevity there's nothing pleasing or exciting about them whatsoever. But I guess that's what's good about the car hobby, you can do your own thing even if it makes no sense.

Not my cup of tea but very impressive.
I can't even imagine the work it took to slam it like that.
In all reality a Cummins diesel is far superior to any FE gas engine when it comes to power and fuel mileage.
The owner definitely has some great talents.

I don't care for slammed truck any more than I care for lifted trucks.
Neither one is my cup of tea.

I have a friend who always posted pictures of girls in the pink Jeeps and always commented what a waste of money they were and how ridiculous they looked.
Who cares??? She has what she like and wants and just like my friend has what he likes and wants.
Who are we to criticize what other people like. I'm sure there are plenty of people who criticize what I like and I don't care.

There's a nice 1/2 ton short bed mid 70s Ford running around here with a 4BT license plate.
I often wonder who understand his license plate.
I think I'll flag him down and get some pictures next time I see him.
