2000 F750 in the UK Hood and Grill advice

Hiya all,

I have a 2000 F750 Cummins, former Global De-Icing unit and a 2000 F350 7.3 4x4 Dually.

In the UK F350's are rare, F750's are Unicorn's. My 750 is a long term project. I'll need to ask really dumb questions because unlike most of you, we don't grow up around these trucks, or live with them. What might seem like normal to you is really quite different here.

Here's the real reason for this post. I'd like to change out the grill on the 750, I'm sure you all know it has the grey plastic rounded corner grill. I'd obviously like the big shiny square grill. I understand from what I've been able to research that the front I want is a later ( 2007 onwards I think ) hood. Can I modify a later grill surround or am I best sourcing a later hood, and is a 2017 onwards hood going to fit my 2000 F750 ?

Picture speaking a thousand words
Hope you can all hep me.

Bests,

Matt

Best I can do. This is going to cost you as you'll have to figure out shipping as well. That stock grill starts to look pretty good imo....

Looks like '04 and up is different:

Hiya, thanks 85e150 ! This is what I figured, from studying many pictures I also figured out that there is a 3 fixing per side pattern on the pre-2004 and 2004 onwards the mounting is a 4 hole pattern. Still not a deal breaker though if the hood from a 2004 will actually line up properly on the 2000 truck.

And yes, your right, the stock grill is looking good given the possible costs for this mod ! However I'm still open to the idea if someone can give me some certainty that it can work !

If the grill is in good shape you might consider a vinyl wrap to spruce it up. I’ve never done it myself though.
