I have a non-SiriusXM radio equipped XLT and would like to add such. The bluetooth way works but its getting old. I heard it can be added by adding a ACM and antenna and then programming with Forscan. This sound about right? Anyone done this and can post what or how its done?
It sounds doable and I just saw someone claim to have done it on a FB group. Not sure where to source the ACM at a reasonable price. That was the only thing I really lost going from my 2018 XLT to my 2023 XL. I have been using the SXM app through Car Play and it actually works quite well.

I pulled my non-satellite ACM out to look at it and it is different than the '22 and under. The '21+ F150 looks to have the same equipment. I can confirm during my project of adding power folding mirrors that the '21+ F150 parts work on the '23+ F250 so maybe the ACM is the same. Another person posted they used the F150 ACM on one of the FB posts, maybe the same post you were referring to. An aftermarket antenna on Amazon is ~$15 with the correct Fakra K Curry connector.
I think I'm going to pull the trigger on one as soon as I get the Forscan directions.
I didn't realize you could get a non-Sirius XLT. My '19 is a stripper model with NO additional packages and it came with Sirius. Granted, it had the little tiny 4" non-touch screen, but it does have Sirius.

If I remember correctly, auto companies were compensated for including the feature but that has expired on most. It now costs a little extra for auto industry to use because of the licensing. I currently use the Android Auto but its getting a little old of always having to start the app on my phone. Ebay has some ACMs around $150 with SiriusXM and HD-radio.
I put in the "new" ACM. The HD radio works flawlessly. The Sirius not so much. The icon shows up but when selected, it does nothing for about 90 seconds then it displays. The ACM constantly throws a DCT for lost communication with the ECM/PCM. I tried several things in Forscan but never got it right. Any chance of someone with Sirius/HD radio in a non BO speaker truck to send me their ACM backup?
For what it's worth, there is the curry K connector under the ACM... but it doesn't work. I metered the connector and it's open so I guess the cabling is there but not connected on the antenna side either.

Did you get any further with this. I have a 2023 xlt non-premium that I’d like to add sirius to. Well, I’d like to just replace the truck with a higher trim level but that’s not in the budget 😂

Yeah, got it working with help from Jesse-Infotainment at the f150gen14 forum site. There is a couple of settings in the ACM and APIM that needs adjusted via Forscan. The connector for Sirius is there but you will need to add the Sirius equipped antenna (driver side) puck on the cab. If you get that far with adding the "new" ACM, just hit me up and I'll help as much as I can.

That’s great news! Do you still have the part number for the ACM you used? Did you go with an aftermarket or oem antenna?
Edit: after some searching, I ordered PC3Z-19A390-F Antenna ML3T-18K810-FEE ACM
It sure does look wrong compared to the one you ordered. It listed up to king ranch but both with and without satellite radio which seemed odd. I’ll see if I can cancel it and order the part number you used.

My parts have arrived. Did you save a list of forscan changes you made? I bought the $15 aftermarket antenna so I hopefully won’t need to pull the headliner until the weather warms up.
