My truck was no op for a out 3 4 years I recently switched it and found out I needed a state ref to pass before clearing smog. Not sure why I got thr ref. Has anyone experienced this?
That post is incomprehensible. You’re going to need to clarify a little bit and do some proofreading so folks here can help you. I have no idea what you’re talking about.
I bet he lives in California and as I understand it, the State Ref (referee) is a program to cover emission regulations and inspections for required exhaust parts ect...Then you take it to get a emissions check. AKA Smog ck/sniffer test.
What does the state ref check for? Resolving an emissions-related citation: A Referee can inspect your vehicle and provide guidance on bringing it into compliance if you have received a ticket for modified emission controls or excessive exhaust noise.
Viper P...a NO OP, means it is registered as a None Operatable vehicle, so no current license plate tag is required. Or something like that. He will have to take the truck to a State Referee station and get it inspected 1st. Some states make it no fun to own a old Ford truck.
