New to the site and new to a used 2011 350 ad 6.2l. A quick internet search brought me to this site. My main issue is rough idle, clacking/knocking (not bad, sounds like a solenoid) when revving the engine in park but not when driving , and the fault codes. Codes say B cam sensor bank 1. I think I found 2 on the very back of the engine beside the valve covers. Does anyone know if they could be the cause? Should I replace them or am I way off here? I will probably have to take it to a garage for all the other fault codes but this one came right back after clearing codes and a garage appointment is 12 days out. Thanks
Okay so your first two codes relate directly to the camshaft sensor. The 3rd code is 'random/multiple misfire,' which if you are having an issue with the camshaft sensor then you're going to have multiple misfires on one side of the engine.
I would suggest that, provided the wiring looks good going to the sensor, then try replacing the sensor first. If this clears everything up then you're likely good to go. If not, you COULD be (but not necessarily ARE) looking at something like a stretched timing chain that'll need to be replaced, which is somewhat involved (though not terribly difficult if you're mechanically inclined).
Thank you for the reply. I will replace both sensors on the back (firewall side) of the valve covers and see what happens. Either way, I'll post the results.

Update: I replaced the bank 1 (passenger side) cam sensor and reset the codes. I only did the one that was faulty because I couldn't get 2, other one is on it's way. Drove it for 45 minutes with several quick stops along the way, runs better now and the engine light has not come back on yet. Last time I reset the codes, the light came back on within minutes. It might actually be fixed!
