Added air bags to my truck today. When I was jacking up the rear with the jack under the center of the hitch to get clearance for the air bags, the horn alarm went off when the truck was lifted about 2-3 inches. Figure it is a deterrent if someone is stealing the tires. Is this actually a feature or did my horns just decide to go off. The key fob was not in my pocket but about 5 feet from the truck on the bench.
That is part of the factory security system. It detects a change to the inclination and sets the alarm off, like in the case of it being towed. It can also happen of you add enough weight to sag the rear while the truck is locked.
