Rotor failure
The warranty PDF says Wear Items and then Brake pads/linings from normal wear and tear for 12-months/18,000 miles. Just like my leaking master cylinder and leaking front crank seal one dealer said "weeping" is not covered it has to be "leaking" one dealer might deny and another might say "No problem, well fix it." Even showing the service manager the definition of a leak he said no and changed his story to "It has to be a drip". I would think it should be covered since it isnt a brake pad/lining but you would have to find a competent dealer service department to do the right thing and replace it.
That has been that way for a while based on the rust. Has anyone done any service that would have required removal of the rotor? Maybe someone got over zealous trying to remove the rotor (surprised it would be with only 30K miles). Have you done any off roading and maybe a rock or something got behind the rotor or between the rotor and caliper? I can't imagine it was this way when delivered. The crack looks like it was pushed out from inside. If it were a casting issue that would shown up in the machining. Might be machined to small on the inside or the hub it's on is to large and as the rotor was tighten on it wedged on the hub and busted out the rotor in two locations.
Although this is strange and unusual, one of the reasons to perform visual inspections of the components while doing maintenance. Looks like it was brittle and came apart, that would take quite a bit of force to bust that through if it was a normal solid rotor.
At least it was caught.

unfortunately I haven't gotten the chance to get it done until now. I know it should have been done before this but just wasn't able to unfortunately.
this is exactly what I did today she is now all buttoned up and right again
