"New" 93 Explorer owner
I recently purchased a 93 Explorer XLT 4x4 w/ 97k from the local Ford Dealer. Its going to be my bad weather/almost daily drive to work vehicle. Truck is in phenominal shape for a 10 year old vehicle. Previous owner really cared for it well. Inevitably it has developed it's first problem. I noticed a small ATF leak in the driveway. After I got it up on the ramps, I found it was coming from a "lever" on the left side of the tranny, near the pan. Can anyone tell me if this sounds familiar? Tough to tell if it is the pan or the "lever". I assume from another brand of truck's manual that I have that it is shift or throttle linkage. My mechanical skills are on a novice level and this is my first Ford since my grandfather gave me his 68 Galaxy 500 when I graduated high school (15 years ago). Any help is appreciated.
