Dana 50 TTB passenger side beam differences
Dana 50 TTB passenger side beam differences
Hey guys, in the midst of doing a coil spring conversion on my dana 50 ttb and ran into something interesting I wanted a second opinion on. Im only raising the truck enough to mostly level it (1.5in front lift) and I went with Tuff Country axle pivot brackets instead of doing camber bushings. I was under the truck with the wheels off messing with the steering when I noticed that, with both beams at 0 degrees camber, the passenger side beam was sitting an inch higher than the drivers side. I checked the truck was level, and measured at the pivot brackets, both were at exactly the same height, and the camber adjustment bolts were both at exactly the same height as well. I corrected the height difference by adjusting the camber bolt on only the passenger side, but it seems strange to me that their would be a difference. Ive also previously verified that I have factory 0 offset ball joint bushings, so my only guess is that the passenger beam has an inch more drop to it than the drivers for some reason, and the factory brackets were offset to account for this (ditched my factory brackets a while ago so I can't go check now). Wonder if anyone has seen something similar or has more experienced input on this.
