Local gent is selling a retrax rolling cover for his 2015 f150 5.5ft bed. I have same bed length but 2006. Below are the dimensions.

2006 bed dimensions: 65.9in (L) x 62.5in (W)
2015 bed dimensions 67.1in (L) x 65.2 in (W)

My question is, is it possible to fit on my truck? I have one on my Tacoma and am very happy with it. Just wondering if anyone has had experience with attempting this?

 

I don’t think so. I just installed a Retrax unit on my Lightning and the dimensions and alignment need to be exact to avoid binding. There are adjustment screws on each rail, and there is 1/16” tolerance between front and rear. I paid $300 for one off a ‘19 Raptor, but it was just a consequence of good timing when I was keeping an eye out. I’d skip the ‘15+ unit and wait for an earlier-gen to be available.

The dimensions for ‘15-present trucks are the same, but Retrax lists different part numbers for the ‘21+ trucks. I think anything from ‘04-14 would fit yours.
