2014 buying advice please

Looking at 2014 crew platinum 4x4. Asking 23k.

23k is high I feel.

What are the major issues to be aware?

Any major engine or transmission design defects?

I had a 2014 F150 5.0 for over five years, had one shock leak at three years, and never had any other problem. That truck, engine, and tranny was awesome. Just check for rust.

Thanks. Thoughts on the 2.7 v6, 3.5 v6 ?

Somewhere I read the 2.7 is quite good despite its smaller displacement.

General thoughts on which engine or which tranny? Try to get the 6 sp vs 10?

2.7 is of a later year model than this group, if you're going to jump to another year model in your quest, probably want to post your question in general automotive.

Good point. Thoughts on 2014 & earlier vs 15 to 18 or so.

I'm leaning towards 5.0v8 with 6sp. Thoughts? Any particular year? Reliability is top priority. 250k+ life

Usually I figure oil is critical before 150k. On trucks ATF critical before 60k. Others would be good earlier, but at 150k they are critical.
