OK If its not one thing its another...but Im not giving her up. My gas pedal arm just broke. Now getting another shouldnt be a big deal, (I hope), but i was looking at where the cable attaches and the pivot pin going through the pedal. How in the hell does it come off? It doesnt look like there is any easy way. HAAAAAALLLLLLLPPPPP!!!!!
Im hopefully gonna get this done tomorrow after everything opens.
Ignore the pivot pin - pull the green plastic bushing around the cable rearward while holding the top of the pedal against the firewall, and slip the cable out of the notch. Then remove the 3 bolts that hold the pedal bracket to the firewall.
OK Maybe I didnt look at it close enough but I didnt see a notch. But I will take your word for it since I have seen you in here answering damn near everyones questions. I'll look closer in the morning and see if I can find it
If you have the later gas pedal with a thick flat arm that's twisted between the pedal & pivot, the notch is on the L side. If you have the earlier pedal with a thin stamped channel, the notch is on top.
