Reprogramming Computer for /285/75/16
I need some advise. I replaced the stock Firestone Steeltex tires on my 2001 X V-10 4X4 3.73 with Bridgestone 285/75/16. The problem was I was not getting good fuel mileage and the power loss was very noticeable as well as the constant in and out of overdrive around town was killing me, so I returned the tires under the 30 day Bridgestone test drive warranty and returned to the stock size 265/75/16. Now here is the real problem. I have been bitten by the bigger is better bug once again. The 265's just looks so much smaller than the 285's and I am considering returning this set for the bigger ones but I need some help on what to do about transmission shift points, reprogramming etc.
