As I am fixing up the wires I got to thinking. How much can the ignition switch safely power (still a 6 volt system). I was thinking engine, electric wipers, heater blower, and an original 6 volt tube radio. Is that too much to run through the switch?
Also what it the bulb number for the instrument lights and the high beam indicator?
As to your question, I would follow the original schematic. One note i will share is I believe the ignition switch is run through the two circuit breakers 30 and 15 amp behind the dash - make sure that the bus bar, it's a brass flat bar that connects the two circuit breakers is taken off and cleaned both sides. My whole truck was rewired in 2021 and this was missed. Looked good one side, but the other side was totally corroded green. Once this was cleaned it solved a lot of problems in the charging system as well as ignition.
