keyless entry problem
Trying to install an aftermarket keyless entry on my '99 f150 4x4. I was able to find both wires for opening and closing electric locks and power to the locks. My problem occured when I was trying to tie into the power for the locks I shorted the wire. I checked the fuse in cab and engine compartment they both looked fine. I replaced them anyway but power locks still did not work. There must be another fuse somewhere. For a temporary fix I ran a hot wire from a different location to the wire to get power door lock to work. Any ideas where this fuse might be? Thanks for any help.

So the switches are working now that you spliced power back into the system? Just wondering if the door switches are fried. I had my door panels off recently on my '99 and if I did not have both switches plugged in, the circuit was not completed so no power locks.
