Currently need a new steering wheel for my 2011 F250 with controllers on both left/right sides. The part number is BC3Z-3600-DB. Everyone that I've spoken to states that it's been discontinued and there's no replacement. WTH?? So, has anyone else run into this problem and what was your solution? Bought brand new and want to keep it going for as long as possible. Unfortunately, being in the aerospace industry, I work with a lot of hydraulics and the oils/acetates ate the rubber and through the different covers that I used. Just don't feel like replacing my front teeth should I ever get in wreck...
So, the little controllers on each side of center there, are replaceable/changeable independent of the steering wheel itself. You just need a base model wheel (even used, or Ebay), pop out the covers on it, and put your switches in.
You might be getting that discontinued reply because you're asking for a loaded wheel, when all you really need is the base wheel to switch your switches into. I was lukewarm considering replacing the wheel in my wife's KR, and it's still available no issues, so I find it a little hard to believe that wheel you're looking for is truly NLA.
Tasca shows 15+ in stock. I've used them a lot for favtory parts. They have the vinyl one like you have or you could upgrade to the leather wrapped one. It might hold up a little better.
I had tried the fixes as noted above to no avail. All the Ford techs tell me I can't order anything other than that part as the wiring harness is unique to my VIN. I finally made the time to contact Ford directly and this is what they said:
Thank you so much for your patience, Michael! After reviewing my resources. Typically, Ford and Motorcraft manufacture replacement parts for Ford vehicles produced within the last 10 model years. While parts may show as obsolete or not available through Ford Motor Company or Motorcraft, new service parts may be available through aftermarket retail outlets. To obtain vintage or obsolete parts, call or visit the websites of Green Sales Company, Vintage Parts, or Parts Voice using the contact details below.

Long story short, Vintage Parts had the OEM part in stock. Just thought that I'd share to simplify the research for others. Steering wheel will be here in 2-3 days. • Phone: 1-877-846-8243.
