Question question for anyone

I posted a post earlier about removing custom momo rims 17 inch from my 2000 f-150, I tried impact sockets, standard sockets, and metric sockets, nothing seems "thin" enough to get inbetween the rim and lug nut, the lug appears to have a ball shape on top, would this happen to be a "spindle nut lug"?????
I was doing searches trying to find something to get these tires off and I came across something called a spindle nut, could this possibly be that???? Thanks!!

Jason

it could be it but i have never heard of a "spindle lug nut" myself. also sounds like a set of locking lug nuts possibly

i think you need a special socket, it should have come with the wheels. i know i had some wheels on my honda like that and they came with this special lug socket to take them off.

Discounting that you are looking at a cover, it could be an anti-thief magnetic lock. The magnet pulls the tumbers towards you and allows you to easily twist the cover off. Then there is a regular lug underneath.
