I have a 2004 f350 with 6.0 its a project truck so I am limited on the time I have to work on it.
My scanner got to where it would not connect with the truck I could wiggle the insert into the port and get it to connect or twist it a certain way. I used a pick to close the connectors but that even got to where I could not scan. So I ordered a new port and put it on but the same is happening so the port probably was not my problem.
Now it will not start unless I use the jumper on the passenger side by battery.
Anyone have any suggestions on where I should look for the proble?
I have AE and it works good on my 7.3 and did with the 6.0 till the port got so wore out that the pins were not making contact. I used a pick to collapse the the little inserts. When I bought the truck it had a problem that no one could fix and I have not found it yet the reason for putting the scan tool in the port so often.
