WHAT DO THE GUIDELINES SAY ABOUT SPAMMING? That's what he's doing day after day, night after night, thread after thread of incoherent babble. @alloro fixed the problem by combining all of his mindless threads into one. Some one came along and split them up again. And he continues spamming nonsense.

You should refresh your memory as to what "spamming" actually is.

Spamming is the act of sending multiple unwanted messages, or spam, to many recipients at once, usually for marketing purposes. Spam can be in the form of emails, text messages, or internet postings. Spamming can be used for commercial advertising, non-commercial proselytizing, or for fraudulent purposes like phishing.

Merriam-Webster

I've been surfing the net since the late 80's early 90's. I know what spam is. Pay close attention to the "multiple unwanted messages" part. Now it's not so much of why he's allowed to disrupt so many people without repercusion as it is.. "Why aren't this forums administrators DOING something about the disruption?"

I've had to deal with this particular forum member for almost 6 years over multiple forums, mostly Ford but he INFECTS EVERY FORUM with this nonsense he winds up in. Every single other forum had the good sense to boot him for the sake of ALL the forum members. He does NOT add any value to this forum and it's members.

Simple logic would dictate the good of the many outweigh the good of the few, .... or the one. So here we sit yet AGAIN, a forum full of moderators that refuse basic logic. Or are the moderators hands tied because of IB (The owners of this forum) rules? We have multiple unrelated people from all over the world complaining about that persons activities here and yet it remains fallen on deaf ears.

When TF is someone going to listen to us? My $$ will NOT be reinvested here as a supporting member if this behavior is allowed to continue, that much is a guarantee!

I don't see any commercial advertising, proselytizing, fraud or phishing.

You aren't getting messages, you are seeing posts--you can ignore them.

You can't ignore the pages where he continuously posts. When I open a page to read, what I see is his name front and center at the top of every page. Yeah I've put him on ignore but you can't ignore the very fact he posted more garbage threads to sift thru. (Can be fixed within forum software)

I guess the best way to describe what we feel is *pollution*. You see it littering our hwys, you see it littering every aspect of our lives and here we are in a place where it CAN BE CONTROLLED and it's NOT! Clean up the hwy please!!!

You turn on the radio and get blasted with ads, news, all sorts of junk you don't want to listen to. Sound/light pollution, city horn honks, brilliant blinding lights at night and so forth. Sure you can change the channel or turn the radio off or move to the country. I like others here come in to be entertained, perhaps learn something, maybe even help someone with a problem one may have come across. The VERY essence of why forums exist.

Up to y'all whether or not my $$ winds up in IB bank account next renewal time but don't try more bs logic on me because I've seen and heard it all, lame excuses for something you may have no control over. GET IB INVOLVED or grow a pair and do the right thing. I've built websites and forums from raw HTML so I know it's possible. Tell them to come in here and give us ALL a good reason why the issue isn't resolved if it's above your knowledge base that is.

How many people have already left or will never become a supporting member due to this non supporting member creating a CONSTANT disruption?

Those are the questions that should matter. The answers have so far eluded current forum staff.

Unless there's been a violation to the site guidelines, there's no just cause to shut down a thread. If someone wants to dredge up old threads which happens periodically by new people coming in, then it's perfectly acceptable. Either ignore or unsubscribe.

We can only hope this "temporary" status becomes permanent sometime soon

I don't mean this guy any ill-will but too much of the BS he posted is just too much. IMHO this entire forum will not be reduced in any way by his absence.

Not sure what brought this action but it's welcome whenever it happened.

Let's just make sure the cheers are kept down to a dull roar. Attacking, berating, or otherwise insulting other members is still a TOS violation, and I'm sure no one here also wants an unpaid FTE vacation. Enjoy the day and move on.

I think most replies post "temporary deactivation" are more a nod of appreciation to the Moderators or Administrators instrumental to that action more so than intended to be attacks or berating anyone.

That which has come to be is at someone's own hand.

Currently, it's like walking into the DMV with no lines whatsoever.
