The power elbow is a performance replacement for you stock "down pipe" The down pipe is located right off of your turbo and and goes directly down to meet the rest of the exhaust system. The purpose of a performance down pipe or power elbow is to reduce exhaust restriction off the turbo and to reduce exhaust gas temperatures. It is usually in conjunction with a larger diameter exhaust systyem, but you can purchase it by itself. A must if you are going to turn your PSD up and intend to do moderate to heavy towing.
