Ok, so i'm probably overthinking this new truck, but I swear at around 1500 miles it stopped running as smooth as the 1st 1000. I started to notice it in the 6,7,8 shift range. Now it just feels like its 6 to 10. Could it still be learning my driving? I noticed it the worst on an exit ramp at about 60. I honestly went into the tire pressure screen to see if maybe I picked up a nail. Which btw its annoying that it has to be stationary to read TPMS, that's dumb as sh..t
My family thinks my OCD is the issue but I live in my trucks so I get very much in tune with them.
If I let off the throttle it goes away. It idles smooth. So much you cant feel its running
Best way to describe it is like slight road roughness. I also feel it happened after the first time I opened it up a bit to pass on an interstate. Maybe exhaust? Even that seems to have gotten louder, but I was driving like a 95 year old for the 1st 1000
Love my new 250 7.3 but nothing beats the feeling of an old truck that you know every hiccup
since it's in upper gears .by chance are you feeling it after the convertor locks up? speeds above 40mph?
my family has 5 new trucks, ford /gm/ Mopar/ Nissan every dam one has a lockup chatter, above 40 that feels more like the driveshaft wants to fall out of the trucks
With only 1500 miles then yes, it is likely still learning your driving style. With that 10speed it'll skip gears that it doesn't feel it needs to go into. The engine is also breaking in, so things are going to change as you go.
Odd that it needs to be stationary to read TPMS - everything I've read on them is that they actually read better when they are moving.
me either. but when I stopped I got the the tpms gauge and as I drove off it went away. When I tow long distance in my 15 I toggle from tpms to trans temp often
At 3500 miles my truck lost a wheel weight and made the truck a run oddly. I have had tire not balanced before but this felt different. mine is a 22 f350 7.3. It also took time adjusting from a 03 diesel to a 22 gas.

Good morning! Feel free to send us a DM with your vehicle's VIN and mileage. I’d like to see what I can do to assist with having your truck concerns addressed.

Are you looking at the tpms from the maintenance screen? If so then that is the way the maintenance screens work. The regular tpms screen can be enabled from Menu/Select Screens. If you have a lower trim like I do you are limited as to how many screens are enabled.
