NO CD PLAYER SUCKS
NO CD PLAYER SUCKS
I love my new 23 F350 King Ranch but I HATE not having a CD player. I have a portable I had to buy because my laptop also did not come with a CD/DVD player and I tried to plug it into the truck but it would not work. I got power but nothing else. HOW can I get a functional CD player? If I have to use digital music, what is the best way to get the tunes I want to hear and the ability to select between them? Thanks for any help.
Spotify. Or, if you have a lot of CD's, rip them to your computer, and then load them onto your phone or a memory card.
I had a 2000 cd collection. Now i use spotify exclusively for non radio music.

Well my dinosaur bones are showing. I don't even know what Spotify is. I do have Amazon Prime and have bought a few albums there. I also have bought a couple singles from my Apple Phone (also new to me) So I hoped I could download the Amazon Music App TO my truck since it has internet and a place for apps but it NEVER EVER Finds any apps for me to use. Is there some secret to using these features that I am unaware of? Is there anyway NOT to us my phone to listen to music that I choose?
Depending on your cell phone provider and plan you are on, you might get apple music streaming for free. Spotify costs like $10 or so per month. We use it when sitting on the beach.
You can rip your cd's to a USB memory card, and use that then no phonenor internet is needed.

So if I put music on a thumb drive - USB stick - and plug it into the USB on my truck, will it play the music? Or actually, how do I use a memory card? I have several CD's that I burned on my laptop and would love it if I could hear that music. In the mean time I'm doing a free trial of Amazon unlimited since I already have prime. Next time I am in the truck I'm going to see if I can get it to work but I hate having to use the phone. Seems to me the truck should let me add app and go from there

No idea what I would buy I haven't used one in about 10 years and have a few in my "junk" drawer if I need one. They really haven't changed much, just buy your favorite brand.
They replaced vhs/cassettes, and can still be bought, and if you buy them at a store that sells the used you can get some cheap content. I set up a media server I can access from my phone and have replace 99% of my streaming services for less than $1500, and it is mine, I don't have to worry about which service has what when or pay for access to use the content or deal with ads. Last time I bought dvd's/blueray's I paid 50 cents per dvd and $1 for blueray's. I think I bought around 400 then. Music cd's are even cheaper.
I’ve seen CDs at goodwill for 50 cents to a buck each. They sell pretty fast once they put them out.
