Question Bronze valve guides.....????

What are the advantages/disadvantages to using bronze guides as opposed to iron (is that what comes OEM) ...???

What are the best valve seals to use on a street motor...? I guess you can't run umbrella seals with dual springs....

well many heads, the guide hole can be knurled, if it's worn, but having it reamed and a bronse guid is really fairly standard now days..........the bronze works better and if it gets worn can have a new one installed........but the bronze generally is considered the best over steel inserts or over an iron headed guide itself........they look neat to..........

There is no problem with bronze guides except the expense of the labor.

I installed the silicon-bronze ones, because of the extra lubrication, and, I guess, heat transfer.

I have dual valve-springs with positive-lock valve stem seals.
