A26558 is your truck's sequential number, my reading in the link posted above, looks like yours will be a 1976 number.

Did you get the vin off the dvrs side door back edge aluminum Warranty tag? Then look at the dvrs side B pillar (below the striker) and look at the Safety Certification sticker (white sticker) and that also has the month and year made.

Yes 79 Bronco tag just for reference.

Maybe because it was made in Canada?
I will check my F750 (same year) this weekend to see if it has one. Maybe it fell off?

Yes probably a Canadian thing "Eh"? That is one sticker that does NOT fall off. It is almost made to be tamper proof. You try to peel it off and it falls apart.
