I’d still buy one.

Everyone has different buying motives, but model name is entirely superficial to me. I just re-read a Car & Driver review of the 2022 Lightning. They jokingly suggested that Ford call it the Fordtress or the F-one-fiftEV. Silly names, but it would still be in my garage.

The Mach E is still a better version of a Mustang compared to the Mustang II

the massive piled up inventory of the Mach E tells me most car buyers disagree with you and ford’s naming strategy didn’t help much.

I drove by my local ford dealer last week on my way out of town and they had two rows of them with 15-20 each just out front.

you should, assuming ford priced it under 300k and made enough to go around.
