Fuel filters, 100%. Oil filters, different story... It was established in that oil filter dissection thread that the new MC2124 is using Purolator media that allows some stones to pass due to the longer OCIs coming with the latest and greatest 6.7s. I use Donaldson's P502503 filter...
Both Donaldson P502503 and Motorcraft FL 2124S about the same price. What advantage is there going to Donaldson?
So glad I posted before I pulled the trigger on a purchase..........I'm old school (64 yrs old) and too trusting of this new corrupt world. Off to the dealership then, hope they sell the real stuff lol.

I would not walk into the dealership to buy this. What is MSRP, $130? They will probably charge you MSRP.

I think you can buy from a Ford dealer with confidence, I would think dealers would only sell authentic parts, but with profit margins on fake parts so high there is always a potential and I would wager the risk wouldn't be worth the reward. It would be pretty easy to catch a dealer selling counterfeit parts.
There are plenty of options outside of walking into the dealership and paying $130.
Autozone-$70-72 + tax
Advance Auto- $70 (less with coupon code) + tax
Orielly’s- $72 + tax
Some dealerships sell online at a discounted price too.

Not going to sidetrack a fuel filter thread but not saying it's better, but how about I feel comfortable running the Donaldson on my truck... plenty of facts here on this thread.

Plenty of good filters out there. I use: 1. Baldwin 2. Donaldson 3. Wix in that order.
