Well, I ordered a 150 Lariat (w the V-8, thanks to all who helped on the other thread).
I have read somewhere in this forum that nowadays we have rustproofing applications that actually work. I did not know that. My only experience was the old undercoating tar spray that to me was messy and ineffective.
I would like to protect this new truck with a rustproofing application but I know nothing about it and I seek advice, particularly from those with firsthand experience.
I did a search which resulted in numerous results, none of which contained rustproofing in the title 😳, so I ask here.
Don't get the rubber based undercoating, will actually make things worse.
Look into wool wax and fluid film. They are basically the same thing but wool wax is a little thicker and hangs onto the frame longer from my experience. Both will need to be reapplied annually based on your driving conditions.
