I was away from the truck for about 45 minutes and when I came back to drive home, everything worked fine. There is definitely an issue with the proximity and door handles.
yep, given how many have posted you would think Ford would respond.

I've had various Super Duty PUs since 2001 and with those equipped with the unlock handles, this is the first one I've had issues with. I can touch my Jeep handles with a finger and they unlock. There is 100% something wrong with the quality and sensitivity of the new handles and Ford is doing nothing about it. Too many complaints on this board alone and that's just those of us that are on message boards. I buy these trim levels for a reason so it's very frustrating when they do not operate as designed and having a tech in a shop that is likely generating a lot more static electricity be the test subject v. the customer stating the problem and having video proof seems unacceptable.

Approach detection just failed to work for the first time this morning on my 2024 F250 Lariat. Had recurring updates set for every day at 4am. I just changed that to the minimum of 2 days a week. I’ve read enough about Super Dity trucks and a mysterious battery drain. Damn this is disappointing, hope it doesn’t get any worse.

Same crap happened with my 2021 Bronco sport.
These vehicles need to come with a battery maintainer!
Watch this.....

that is the bms battery monitor sensor that lets the bcm know what the battery state of charge is. but to reset the bsoc you need a capable scan tool

Did you notice the proper way to charge the battery?

I cannot send you a DM. Says I don’t have those privileges. Please advise if there is another way to contact you.

I will drive the truck and then when I get to where I am going and shut the truck off and open the door, none of the lock or unlock buttons on the key fob, inside of door or the door handle work. I also cannot open my tailgate. Everything else works except anything that has to do with locking or unlocking the truck.

I let it sit for 2-3 hours, everything is back to normal. Until the next time I drive it.

I am driving it to the dealer tomorrow and will post an update as soon as they figure it out.
Dealer says they think my BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) is the culplrit. They are going to order a new one and get it installed. I will keep everyone posted if this is a fix

Did you ever figure this out? I have the same issue, unable to arm (lock doors), disarm (unlock doors) with fob while parking lights are on. I'm able to use fob once parking lights extinguish.

It works without any problems for a couple weeks when I disconnect the batteries

Knock on wood they updated programming on mine. No issues since. I don’t drive it much though. I have I think 2700 miles on it since I bought it at the first of Dec lol. I have to take mine in for other crap though. I think the front door speaker is busted and I hear the left ceiling speaker distorting on calls and with certain music. I am going to make them look at the wavy right side rear bumper as well. I looked at other trucks and they aren’t like that. The passenger seat cover has also came loose at the front under the seat. They also are supposed to fix the misaligned door badge. It’s off by 4 degrees from the factory lol.

Mine failed to open again this morning. I used the key fob to remote start it and that worked just fine. Just could not open the doors using the touch feature. Battery voltage on the dash said 14v. Good times!!! Maybe it will work at lunch time today but who knows.....
I am also getting the open door chime more often as I am driving. Nothing show up on the dash. Just the open door chiming going off.

They supposedly pinned it down to the BCM and a fuse panel (part # PC3Z14A068E ) Of course, both parts are back ordered so my F450 has been in the shop since April 15th. I told them that if it doesnt come in this week, I want my truck back next Monday so I can have it until the parts come in.

We will see.
