Roddoors, The company that made the ABS interior panels, burned down a couple weeks ago. They are saying they will rebuild but will take a long while to get going again. They were a good company to deal with. Website is still up but not much in stock and the equipment to make was lost in fire.
Wow, that sucks. They just finished up moving their entire business to Wisconsin and from some of the comments seen on other forums it sounds like their relo didn't go so smooth with regards to keeping up with business. This has to be a horrible time for this to happen, not like there would ever be a good time. I hope it all works out for them.
https://roddoors.com/On Friday, February 16th, our manufacturing facility near Edgerton, Wisconsin, was severely damaged by fire. No one was injured for which we are so grateful.
In this initial phase of rebuilding, we have been working around the clock to establish a base of operations, to determine the viability of tools and molds, and to assess in-stock inventory levels. Fortunately, our warehouse was not affected by the fire.
We are continuing to ship orders. With a dedicated team that continues to come to work every day and that cares about our customers - and a network of local suppliers that are willing and able to help us, we will get back on our feet quickly and efficiently. We are working closely with our insurance provider and have every confidence that we will rebuild Rod Doors successfully.
What can you expect from us? Your order will be shipped on time and if it’s delayed for any reason, we will contact you. If we foresee a significant obstacle to producing your product, we will reach out.
I just got the rest of my interior parts the beginning of the month, it took 3 months to get as I ordered as they were moving but was well
wo the wait, hope all the best
I recently ordered the behind the seat ABS gas tank cover and speaker kick panels from them. I got the kick panels first. The tank cover was waiting to be made. When they got it done, I knew it was ready to ship as I got an email from them stating that a FedEx label was made and it was ready to ship out. A day or two later it showed it hadn't shipped yet. I was kind of wondering what was going on but wasn't all that worried about it at that point.
A week ago last Friday, a nice young lady called me from Rod Doors and told me about the fire and my tank cover was destroyed while sitting on the shipping dock along with everything else. I told her, I was just glad no one was injured in the fire. They of course are refunding my money. She didn't have any information yet on when they will back up to 100%, or if they will be able to make the gas tank covers again. They are a great company and I hope they get back on their feet again soon!
This is sad news, hope they get back up and running and able to make all the panels for the 56. I used them on my pickup and was going to order them for this one I'm working on. Now I wished I had ordered them last year when the wife asked me if I wanted them but I had other things I thought were more important at the time..
Does anyone happen to know of a vendor who sold Rod Door products other than Midfifty who used to sell the complete interior kit made by them..anything I'm finding is the original cardboard style..

Yogi"s Hot rod parts catalog says they are a stocking dealer. I do not know what they have for our trucks.
