Hello everyone, was looking at a 2015 king ranch 350. Nice looking truck, has aftermarket tuner and 198,xxx miles. Know that the 6.7 is a good engine and has several more miles left in it. Would y'all look hard at it or look for something else? Thanks for any input.
I'd need a LOT more info than you have given. What do you plan on doing with it? What kind of tuner? Service records available? Cab/bed configuration? 4WD or 2WD (I personally pass on all 2WD trucks as they don't suit my needs, but that's me), etc. etc.
That said, I would not hesitate to go look hard at a 6.7 Ford, and if its configuration fits your needs, look into picking it up.
King Ranch, 4x4, dealer didn't say what kind of tuner(closed so I called). 5 inch exhaust tip. Possibly pulling a camper occasionally only reason I'm looking. A lot of miles if I get a camper and travel. Also afraid it belonged to a teenager with all the aftermarket stuff.
Selling a 2015 PSD with a tune and custom exhaust tips is most likely a violation of federal laws. I’m not saying you should pass on the truck, but proceed with your eyes wide open.

Pretty sure it's state dependent. I traded in my last PSD with tune, aftermarket exhaust, etc., and the dealer turned around and sold it without taking anything out - it still had the tuner in it from the pics they put on their website.
That said, I'm not as up to speed on the DEF and DPF rules - but I still think they're state dependent (i.e. no inspections, no issue). I could be wrong though, wouldn't be the first time, won't be the last.
I'm in Arkansas so don't think they are as strict, yet. Haven't looked real deep into the truck, still having a problem getting over the mileage. Not necessarily worried about the engine, just the rest of the truck.
