Ford excursion 6.8l v10
ently bought a Ford excursion 6.8 V 10 year 2000 it has 239,000 miles on it now the guy that sold me this truck told me they only needed a muffler and a rear windshield that was my mistake end up purchasing a truck and fixing both those parts in a long run, I noticed the oil started leaking. It was coming from the driver side underneath the bottom pulley gradually after I added oil to the truck replaced the oil filter, redid the coolant. The oil started leaking more progressively so I took some photos to see where it’s coming from. Asked a few people and no one has any idea , I’m quite concerned and hoping it’s not the block if anybody can help me figure out what the part number is for the hose lines that are connected to the pulley will be much appreciated or to tell me what the issue actually is is it possible with the simple fix or am I gonna have to have to replace the engine or what I would hate to see this truck go. I’m super excited about getting it on the road just be bumped out that I bought a lemon.
Not trying to be mean or insulting, but if this is a major obstacle for you, then you’re probably better off selling the Excursion now because a 24 year old vehicle with over 200k miles is gonna have issues / need repairs on a frequent and recurring basis.
And if you’re not equipped to deal with these issues yourself for whatever reason ( time, space, tools, knowledge) and therefore must rely on shops to fix everything, then the cost of ownership will likely be higher than that a brand new vehicle.
…

I totally agree with the above members that it looks to be a simple leaking PS hose and that yes, a 24 year old vehicle with 200K+ miles will need frequent tending to.
Please try to work on your presentation to make your posts here more easy to read, punctuation helps a lot. I ain’t no English professor but sometimes rambling posts don’t always accurately present exactly what you are trying to communicate, and that’s really the point of posting your questions here isn’t it? Again, not trying to be mean, just want you to clearly communicate your issue(s) here to get the best advice on how to sort them out.

not want to) replace everything that is made of rubber. That is EVERYTHING.
Also, everything that has to do with steering linkage. I didn’t replace the Pitman arm, which some say you should, but everything else, definitely, yes.
Think “Made in USA.” Bearings, steering boxes, etc.
As the previous guys have said, at 24 years old, you have a project vehicle.
