Just wanted to say Hi.
welcome to the ford diesel world,,, and welcome to the ford truck site,,
just remember to prop maints,,, by the way how many miles on your truck..
the only real thing you need to watch on 7.3 idi ,,is mailey glow plug & glow plug relay & o-rings on the injector,, thts is only real problem these diesel have.
if you have any question on your truck post it on this site ,,there lots of members can answer any question for you.
welcome to the diesel world out their,, hope you enjoy your truck for a long time,,by the way which state do you live in.
Cavatation is also a very common prob on 7.3s,especially the years surrounding yours.Make sure to check and maintain sca levels in your coolant.Injection pumps are also a problem when they get to around 100,000 miles,if no additives have been used in the fuel.In my opinion stanadyne makes one of the best fuel additives out there. Then there are the other problems that Ford Diesel mentioned.Good luck with your truck.Hope the previous owner used the aforementioned additives.
