Ready for Grid Troubles!
We had to replace our out-of-code panel at home -- esp because our electric stove kept tripping its breakers and we didn't want to have a panel fire like we were told would eventually happen.
While the electrician was in there I had him add a 240v inlet with a throw-over switch so I could hook up my PowerBoost's 7.2 kW generator to our home when the grid crashes (or we lose power in a storm).
After getting "ground fault" errors in the truck and learning about the "bonded neutral" on both the truck and the panel, I cut the green wire in the 240v inlet box (under direction of the aforementioned electrician) and viola! I was in business.
Gotta love this truck for camping and emergency home power.
