I paid $600 for a 7.3l IDIT years ago. It was missing a few turbo parts (top hat & filter as I recall). Plus they told me it was no good. I was able to turn the crank with a wrench but I recently did a cylinder leak down test on it and found some dead holes. I'll eventually pull the heads and install the turbo on my 6.9l.
I wouldn't expect to get anything more than $1000 for your engine unless you have machinist receipts and it's currently on a run stand.
Also, your username is 94.5 Powerstroke. Don't forget that the IDI and Powerstroke are 2 different engines. I suppose you might get more for a 7.3l PSD. Might have to ask a moderator to move your thread to the appropriate forum.
the newest IDI truck is now 30 years old if you get $1000 for it i would call that a good deal.
i see them here in Jersey for under $500 hear it run all the time.
