Flywheel/bellhousing

Can anyone tell me what flywheel tooth count a 1976 302 would take? Also how to identify if I have a C4 trans bell-housing or a C6.

C6 and bell is one piece. C4 is separate. C4 and C6 flexplates tooth number the same but do not interchange. All C6 are big bell size and all trucks with C4 are big bell.

Tooth count is dependent on the transmission/bellhousing, not the engine. Depending on the size of the bell, 302's can use either a 157 or 164 tooth flywheel/flexplate.

C4's (and FMX's) have a detachable bell. C6's are all one piece case.

Sorry I should have said C4's have more than 1 size. They have many different combinations but not on F series.
