Why replace both sides

I see a lot of posts especially about ball joints saying if you replace one side do both. This is bad advice as if only one side is worn out and the other side isn't why replace it. Thats like saying my left power mirror quit working so i have to replace the right side too. This is inane and added expense that is not necessary.

when it comes to steering, suspension and brakes and tires ,you don't cut corners because it can cost lives .what is your life worth to you .the other side component could fail the next day ,being exposed to the same wear and tear .when you brake down and am stranded on the side of the road because you cut corners ,how much is that towing bill going to be ?

This analogy is flawed mostly because exterior mirrors are not even close to be relevant to ball joints or other suspension parts. For the most part the entire movable portions of the front suspension wear equally so if one side shows signs of wear to the point replacement is unavoidable or apparent its easy to assume the other has experienced similar use to the point it may very well be not too far distant of needing replacement as well.

The biggest reason to pre-empetively replace oppositie side suspension parts is "preventative" or avoiding on-road break downs in the near future. If you don't feel its prudent to prevent such unexpected and nusance repairs do as you feel is beneficial---those of us who've prevented future issues aren't really affected and would have no issue with you doing as you damn well please!

Good luck with this!

If your steering part fails while you're driving on the road, your car could become uncontrollable, and hit someone else. This is where it becomes no longer just your problem.

It is a safety issue, and I think everyone who wants to operate a piece of heavy machinery on the public roads has a responsibility to make sure that he does not risk the safety of others with his actions.

since your a fleet owner then you should know proper maintenance will make parts last. I routinely check my suspension parts when i do my oil changes any looseness and parts are replaced. Lets not use the mirrors you have less than 5000 miles on a set of new tires, you hit a road hazard and destroy the right front, with your analogy then you should replace the left front. And i don't appreciate your last sentence.
