Water Pump Replacement
Need some help on what is special on replacing water pump on my Excursion...
Also, since there has been a leak on water pump, the heater and AC only blows from top vents not front? Any ideas?

I did not purchase the 100K extended warranty. Yesterday I replaced the pump, but it took me 4HRS because I did not have all the right tools. The last thing I had to do was put the belt on correctly, but I must have missed a spline and it ripped the serpentine. I am going to go buy a new one today. Total parts and tools from Napa including new thermostat, $320. Dealer wanted nearly a $1000. ALSO, what would cause the air conditioning and heater to only blow up top and not through the front vents?

Well, it looks like I successfully completed the install of the water pump, and have a call to my local dealer to check on my warranty...AFTER THE FACT...but I still have the air ONLY blowing from the top vents and not the front? Any help....
BTW, my Excursion has run very well since I have bought it...and I love it! I tow a 9500LB Boat with her, and she doesn't even hesitate....
PS...that wrench was a life saver....I found it at NAPA for 20 bucks..
