Cargo & Third Brake light
Also Guys, when doing 3rd brake light deal here is something to consider about wiring.
If your eFFy still has a pressure switch for brake lamps or not, whether is has 4way hazzard flashers or not, & whether it has a later column or not can cause problems. Take Heart! All problems are eliminated by wiring 3rd light source wire between "on" side of brake light switch and turn signal switch in column.
By "On Side" I mean lead/wire that gets current in it when brake light switch activates circuit & brake lites come on. Both old 61-66 style pressure switches, or later lever switches send current to T/Sig switch where it's divided between lamps & function needed. There is a brake light "cancel" function inside T/sig switch so turn indicator in a brake lamp can work.
Wiring 3rd brake lamp into a wire going to a rear brake lamp will cause 3rd lamp to blink when cancel function makes lamp, a 3rd Brake lamp is wired into, blink. IOW, 3rd lamps wired after T/Sig switch into L/H or R/H rear brake lamp wire blinks with that T/Sig, when it is on and will not blink when not on. It happens because 3rd lamp is mimicking function of 1 brake/sig lamp, not Brake Light system/ circuit itself.
By wiring 3rd lamp as I said 1st, 3rd lamp will respond to brake lamp switch, just as turn signal switch does. 3rd Lamp will not blink at all, wired in that order, it is what you want to happen.
I recently replaced a T/Sig switch for a guy who wired both brake lamps to his 3rd brake lamp. In his case when he signaled, all 4 signal lamps blinked, when he stepped on the brakes, all 4 lamps lit up. By wiring both L & R brake lamps to 3rd lamp both entire system were cross wired between 3rd lamp & T/Sig Switch. He fried the T/Sig switch as a result.
Just thoght you folks would appreciate knowing this if you did not already. FBp

I prefer using an insulated plug in connector so I can umplug it if I want to later. I splice & solder the female comnector into trucks wire, and use a male on the new wire to the 3rd brake light. Then rin that single wire to your 3rd brakelight, wherevever it is. Easy enough huh?
Heres a sweet trick. buy a chip, either adjustable or fixed rate that flashes LED lamps. This deal is great in Snow Storms, Fog, downpours and heavytraffic, especially with hi Intensity LEDs.
People can not "NOT SEE IT" when it flashes. Of course whether they can do anything after they see it might be problematic, if I judging by traffic I been in lately! Anyway they can't say they dodn't see me stopping, ya know?
I used 2 chips on my Peterbilt, alternating, like an emergency vehicle has in headlights, with 4" hi intensity LEDs on a 45foot semi trailer. When I apply brakes, the back of it looks like a train going through a RR X-ing, for the blinking red lights. Some folks say it's annoying.
I think to myself GOOD !! I know you see me when you complain about it!, but politely say "Oh, I'm sorry. . . . " tactfully avoiding trouble.
I run back up light bulbs in my trailers midship turn indicators. At night I light up insides of cars that ride next to me but won't pass or fall back. I let it blink a few times, then start changing lanes. They move ahead, or drop behind, letting me pull out, whatever. But best of all they do not leave me boxed in behind something I want to go around, when I want to go around it. Hah!
