Question for you ForScan gurus, I picked up a cluster with the 8” screen that came out of a 2019 platinum. I’ve pretty much corrected everything that’s needed to be corrected including correcting the mileage from 37,xxx to my current 60k. However the PRNDM21 on the cluster is not correct. My original cluster/truck is only PRNDM the cluster out of the platinum as stated has PRNDM21. Could I edit it somehow (being that it’s digital) to eliminate the 21?
Also, with the XLT cluster, my drive select works perfect, I can choose “Wet/Slippery, Snow, Tow, Etc.” With the platinum gauge cluster installed the drive mode selection does not select with the buttons and double clicking traction control above the radio turns sport mode on.
any help is appreciated, or pointing me into the right direction, thanks.
Hopefully what you are wanting to do is possible. The other difference would be 6 speeds instead of 10. I doubt that is correctable.
hopefully, But the PRNDM21 is just irritating me knowing that my shifter **** can’t go down to the 2 and 1.
edit: first ford ive bought in a while. All previous vehicles are duramaxes so didn’t know there was a 6spd and a 10spd difference in the 2019 and 2020 years.
hopefully, I know for sure they both are 10 spds. But the PRNDM21 is just irritating me knowing that my shifter **** can’t go down to the 2 and 1. HAHA.
A 2019 would be 6 speed, not 10. Are you saying the 2019 cluster is showing 10 speeds?

correct, I can see all 10 gears on the 2019 cluster. So I assumed it was a 10 spd. If it can’t be done because the 2019 was a 6 spd, then that’s fine. Just want to make sure before deciding my next route.

I can go through the gears by manually selecting them all 1-10 will show up on the cluster on the left hand side under the RPMs when cycling through the selection.

I've been told both of these changes aren't possible in software. First the firmware is apparently different and not interchangeable between the 2017-2019 and 2020-2022 clusters: the older ones don't know anything about drive modes, so you'd need a 2020+ cluster to match your truck for that. Second, the extra "21" in the gear select supposedly isn't removable either (different part numbers for the cluster with/without the 2-1).
All that said, check with Livnitup at the link posted above to confirm, he's got programming knowledge and equipment and that goes well beyond what FORscan and such can do.
Please post back if you find a solution to the "21" problem, my upgraded cluster is stuck the same way. I mistakenly got one from a 6.2L truck instead of a 7.3.
