Hey
I was bored so thought to myself. “Self” I said - “let’s get a diesel.” Probably should have just taken a nap instead of listening to myself. I didn’t want a newer one. I’ve had plenty of those. I wanted something that didn’t need def to run. Funny a diesel that runs on only diesel. What a concept. Obviously I am a chevy guy but getting my hands on a LBZ is next to impossible and the 7.3 has a good reputation. So why not? Plus one of my neighbors is die hard chevy and the other is die hard Ford. Now I have balanced the neighborhood and all is well… unless a dodge guy moves in 😳 I found a good running 1997 f350 so this should be a fun project truck to restore.

Perhaps my user name has thrown you off. Yes I love Chevys. But I am a Ford owner. That is why I am here. If you wish to ignore a fellow Ford owner who is not bashing on Fords but simply is also a chevy lover and seeking Ford knowledge then I think that says more about the Ford community than it does the truck. As for me I am still happy to share my knowledge so feel free to ask

Chevys are okay. Maybe I just happen to be the first to respond.
If Chevys were so bad and Fords so great, then there'd be no Chevys. Just sayin'.
For what it's worth, threads just about always get way more views than responses.
