My 2023 F250 XLT will display a "Brake" alarm along with a "Check Break System" alarm on startup when the temperature is below 30 degrees. I can drive the truck a half mile and shut it off. Then immediately restart the truck and the alarms are gone. Anyone else have this enjoyment?
Because I seldom drive the truck the battery failed. Had it towed to the dealer. When they supposedly did a diagnostic check they said they did not see anything that showed the brake alarms only the weak battery. A couple of days after the garage delivered to me my truck, with a new battery, I still show the "Brake" alarm and the "Check Brake System" alarm on startup.
I'm hoping there is someone out there that is smarter than my Ford Dealer Repair Service that might explain why the alarms and how to fix the problem. Did I hear someone say?, "Buy a different truck."
Welcome to FTE. Under the Miscellaneous heading you will find a subforum titled Brakes, Steering, Suspension, Tires and Wheels. You will also see another titled, Electrical System/Wiring. Along with the subsection for your truck, under the title, Newer Light Duty Trucks, try those forums. If anyone knows of has experienced your issue, they'll let you know. Additionally, the next time it happens, take a picture of the alarm/dash notice and show it to your dealer.
